The connoisseur will be wide-eyed at these abbreviations. SWB for "short wheel base" and MOD for "manual with overdrive" will make your heart beat faster. Jaguar/Daimler produced the short version of the XJ for just under a year, i.e. until autumn 1974, and then used the chassis for the coupé. Just 842 cars were delivered with a manual gearbox. It is estimated that there are only about 20 roadworthy cars left in the world.
