Description

Beautiful 'Pagoda' in an exciting color combination.

As a true testament of automotive history, this car not only presents itself in an exceptionally good and technically flawless overall condition, but also captivates with an unusually well-documented history for US vehicles.

History: Originally, this 280 SL with the chassis number 11304412020829 was delivered to Mr. Ray Rosso in Newport Beach in 1970. Mr. Rosso drove the vehicle himself until his 87th year in 1998, covering approximately 110,000 miles.

In 1998, the vehicle changed continents and arrived in the hands of the first German collector through a reputable dealer in Northern Germany. In this context, the car was gently restored and cavity-sealed. All age-related wear and tear was remedied.

Until mid-2003, the vehicle remained in the possession of a Hamburg family, before it went to another German owner, who moved the car only about 150 km with red license plates and never registered it. Afterwards, the vehicle fell into the hands of a lover and enthusiast who finally sold it to the current owner a few years ago.

Condition: Over the past years, around 20,000 EUR have been invested in the preservation and improvement of this vehicle. The engine and gearbox were overhauled, the seats and the convertible top were newly covered. All measures were carried out by renowned specialist companies and documented by corresponding invoices. The vehicle is therefore in a good to very good overall condition, confirmed by a current value appraisal with a grade of 2.

We cordially invite you to a viewing or can arrange an inspection by a designated classic car expert from TÜV on request, including the use of a lifting platform and a test drive. We look forward to hearing from you."
